 A Community Planning Group advising the Vermont Department of Health HIV/STD/HCV Program

The statewide HIV Community Advisory Group (CAG) works with the Vermont Department of Health (VDH) to assist in meeting the integrated care and prevention needs of Vermonters living with HIV and those at higher risk for becoming infected.

     In 2011, the World AIDS Campaign (WAC) chose Getting to Zero as the theme for World AIDS Day, echoing the UNAIDS vision of achieving “Zero new infections. Zero discrimination. Zero AIDS-related deaths.

     Since then in the US, 18 states and 21 cities  have created or are working on an End the HIV Epidemic Plan.  Vermont joins these efforts with Here In Vermont, currently under creation.
